Āporo Press Submissions

Āporo Press manuscript submissions are now open, and will close on Monday 30 November.

Specifically, we would like to read works of literary fiction, personal essay collections and are open to considering other non-fiction works. We are not seeking submissions for poetry collections at this time.

As a press, we prefer to publish authors from underrepresented groups in Aotearoa literature: LGBTQIA+ individuals, Māori, Pasifika, Asian and other ethnic minority groups.

Regarding content, we seek writing that reveals a piece of Aotearoa not commonly shared, that examines the human condition while maintaining a sense of humour, and something that fills a gap in our contemporary publishing landscape.

If you have questions or need help with your submission please contact damien@damienlevi.com.
